Productive Day® Consulting is Personal, Private and Powerful.
Since 2003, Leslie Shreve, CEO and Founder of Productive Day®, has consulted with hundreds of business owners, executives and professionals in more than 40 different industries throughout the United States and Canada to show them how to work more efficiently, effectively and productively.
As a workload management and productivity expert, Leslie teaches clients how to master their workload and their workday with a unique, proprietary system called Taskology® The Science of Getting Things Done. When clients learn and implement the system, they can gain more clarity, confidence and control; achieve more in less time with less stress; eliminate worries about what has been missed, lost or forgotten; and improve performance, increase productivity, and make more meaningful, powerful progress.
“Leslie understands the nuances of how to be productive.”
Ben Abrams, President
Consolidated Scrap Resources, Inc.
When you’re TRULY productive, you can make more progress in less time with less effort and a LOT less stress. When you have control of your day and real clarity of your goals, you can be more proactive in choosing how to use your time, where to put your focus, and when to take action.
But if you’re working without systems and processes to support you or guide you, you’re leaving a lot to chance, including your ability to stay focused, make decisions, finish tasks and projects, and reach your goals.
Working in the midst of chaos, you’re likely missing, losing or forgetting things, and you’re spending precious time and energy thinking about HOW you’ll get it all done—how you’ll finish what’s on your to-do list, where you’ll find the time, and how you’ll get through all those emails.
When you’re working more reactively and less proactively—and feeling stressed out, frustrated or completely overwhelmed—you’re not doing your best work.
But you’re not alone.
Most professionals weren’t taught how to work most efficiently, effectively and productively. And you may be one of them. You may even think you don’t have enough time to stop and learn how to be more productive, but in fact, the opposite is true.
Clients who worried they didn’t have the time to learn a new productivity system realized how much easier and less time consuming it is in the long tun to invest time NOW to learn with an expert who has already figured it out—someone who can show you how to master your workday and work more efficiently, effectively and productively.

“What an impact it made on me… I love it!”
Christina Kovalakides, Controller
I think I’m ready to ask for help, but I’m on the fence. What do you say to convince people like me to change?
I’m glad you asked, because the truth is…the best results don’t come from being convinced to do anything. And you should NEVER undertake any kind of improvement effort unless you’ve decided that it’s something you really WANT and the time is right. You’ve got to be “all in” of your own accord, and you’ve got to want it badly enough to make the change an exciting, happy and worthwhile process.
The desire to change must come from within you. The need for transformation has to be apparent to you. Taking action has to be a decision you make.
Not only that, but the consulting you invest in would be a HUGE failure and waste of time, effort and energy if you were to attempt to make changes without being emotionally committed, excited about the benefits, and engaged in the process.
Consulting is only successful when the person making the change is really READY for change.
Research and years of experience show that in order for change to occur and really last, daily use is necessary to reinforce the change so that the change becomes a habit—one you don’t have to think about anymore. Luckily, when you learn Taskology, you’ll be using it daily and consistently from day one, so it’s easy to turn it into a habit and make it part of daily process.
Taskology is a simple, logical and easy-to-use system and as you learn it, you’ll start seeing RESULTS on the very first day. When you keep using it, you continue to see results and benefits.
Further, no matter what system you use, you have to use it for it to work. It’s true for ANY system. Taskology doesn’t work. YOU work. So if you don’t work the system, then no, it won’t work for you. But if you keep using it, it will always support you.
When I partner with clients, I’m with them every step of the way. I’m fully committed to their success. I give them every strategy I know—and personally use—in order to help them become the most efficient, effective and productive person they know. I help them master their workday and make more meaningful progress than ever before.
So, when you’re ready to increase your levels of efficiency, productivity, and progress—and get things done faster and easier with a lot less stress—making change will be easier than you think. The change you seek is worth everything it takes to make it happen. And once you begin to experience the results of Taskology, you’ll never want to go back to your old habits again.
I’m definitely ready for a more efficient, productive, and less stressful work day, but what if my work is wildly different than the work of others? Will your system work for me?
It’s true… every person and every situation is unique. In fact, in my many years of consulting with clients in more than 40 different industries, I’ve never worked with two professionals who have had exactly the same job, career or business or who have had the exact same circumstances or situations at work.
But… it’s HOW you work that we’re focusing on— not your EXPERTISE, your industry or line of work.
Picture your expertise as a light bulb that allows you to shine. It’s what you do best and using your expertise is the very BEST use of your time. Then there’s the HOW of your workday. The HOW is like the operating system that should be running quietly and smoothly in the background of your day. But for a lot of professionals, it’s not working that way.
How am I going to get through all of these to-dos?
How am I going to get more time to work on my most important priorities?
How am I going to get through all these emails?
This is the situation you likely have in common with many other professionals—including all of my clients—no matter what your expertise, experience or education. Like everyone else, you have to manage tasks, time, emails, follow-ups, projects, ideas, reminders and information. You have meetings to attend and phone calls to return, and priorities to keep straight.
And the HOW is what is getting in the way of your efficiency, productivity and progress.
Unfortunately, I only see these challenges growing bigger in the future as mobile technologies evolve, the flow of information increases, and fiercer competition enters the marketplace. And as the pace picks up, it will force people to work harder and faster than ever before.
The key is to give yourself a strong, reliable system to help you master workload management so you can spend most of your time using your expertise—doing what you do best—not wasting time looking for things, multi-tasking, getting trapped in your email Inbox, or trying to figure out what to do next.
HOW you work is just as important as DOING your work, no matter what kind of work you do. Taskology is road-tested and proven to work, and because it’s applied to HOW you work, it can work for you regardless of your expertise and the KIND of work you do.
The short answer is that you might be ready to learn Taskology because what you’re currently doing in your workday ISN’T working any longer. But let me ask you a few questions to get to the bottom of this.
Think about how you’re spending your time, energy and effort in your typical workday. Do you feel proactive or reactive? Do you feel in control or chaotic? Do you spend a lot of time looking for things, like documents, emails, to-do lists or files? Do you feel as if your day is perforated by interruptions and lost to distractions? Do you have trouble prioritizing what to do and wonder what to do next once you finish a task? Are you spending a lot of your day re-reading or reviewing emails you’ve seen before, but don’t know how to manage?
Next, consider the results you’re getting. Do you miss out on business opportunities or feel you’re always one step behind? Do you delay results or revenue because you’re forgetting follow-ups, losing information or missing deadlines? (FYI: This may show up with apologies to others if you’ve taken longer than expected to follow-up or send deliverables that were promised.)
And finally, think about how you feel during a typical work day. Do you leave the office on most days disappointed that you haven’t made more progress on your to-do list? Do you feel stressed out or overwhelmed? Do you feel like you’ll never catch up? Are you frustrated, sad or angry?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions and you’re nodding your head affirmatively , the next questions to ask yourself are: Do I want to work more efficiently to save more time, energy and effort? Do I want to work more effectively so I’m in control, confident and ready for anything? Do I want to go home each day feeling productive because I accomplished important tasks, kept up with my email and used my time wisely?
If you’re saying “YES!” to these questions, then you have an opportunity to radically increase your levels of efficiency, productivity, progress and results with Taskology.
- Achieve complete clarity of all tasks and responsibilities
- Plan and prioritize more effectively
- Work more proactively and creatively
- Use and protect time more effectively
- Eliminate the risks of missing, losing or forgetting anything
- Save time, energy and effort
- Process and manage email more quickly and easily
- Enjoy less stress and more satisfaction every day
By investing in your productivity, progress and achievement through workload mastery, you’re investing in yourself. You’re investing in your job, career or business. And you’re investing in your future success.
My workday is out of control and I’m wasting a lot of time and effort. But I’m a smart person! I feel like I should be able to figure this out on my own. What advice can you give?
You *are* a smart professional and you have a special blend of experience, expertise and education that makes you unique. But all of that has nothing to do with with workload management and how well you manage your day.
You may be an expert at what you do, but if you don’t have the workload management skills to support your progress, the deficiencies caused will start overshadowing your expertise and diminish your results.
It may be that you were staying on top of things and working fine until a certain point in your career and now your old ways of doing things aren’t working anymore. It may be time to shift gears and get help, even if you’re thinking, “How can I stop what I’m doing to spend time to figure out how to fix this… in my already over-crowded day!?” There’s going to be no better time than now to make a change.
And fortunately, you don’t have to spend time trying to figure this out on your own or come up with a solution.
When you work with a consultant, coach or expert who offers an existing solution, you’ll get a guide who can show you the way, encourage you at every turn and help you make continuous progress toward your goals. Looking to the experts—whether coaches or consultants—is known to bring faster results to those who are committed to learning and growing. Experts who have “been there, done that” can help you cut to the chase, accelerate your learning, and give you the results you’re looking for.
Accountability is another key to success. It’s important to have someone to turn to for all the “what if…?” and “what about…?” questions that pop up. Your accelerated success depends on knowing exactly how to navigate the changes you’re making and how to avoid the common mistakes people make, which can cost you more time and money.
But perhaps the biggest benefit of all is that an expert can help you achieve LASTING results. If you’ve said to yourself on more than one occasion, “That’s it! I’m going to take charge of my workday once and for all!” only to see yourself slide back into your old habits and routines, then you already know that working without a comprehensive system, without consistent practice, and without a partner to help you succeed, your old habits can return—and so will your past workload and workday challenges—something I’m sure you DON’T want.
So instead of wondering if you’re smart enough to figure this out on your own, look to an expert who’s already figured it out for you. A consultant or coach can keep you on track, identify obstacles, and help you alleviate triggers that can derail you. You’ll save LOTS of time, energy and effort in the learning process AND in the in the long run, and you won’t need to question whether or not you’re going in the right direction
Actually, no, you don’t.
However, Taskology was built with Microsoft Outlook in mind, so if you don’t have it, what you DO need is an email system that’s very similar to Outlook.
The Taskology system is built for email systems like Outlook, because Outlook is very comprehensive. It has modules for email, tasks, calendar, contacts and notes—and they’re all connected—making it a very powerful system. Similarly, your workday needs this kind of comprehensive system, which offers simplicity as well as power.
If you get your email through g-mail (or through multiple email accounts) and you use special Task app and you’re using a paper planner/calendar and you’re using paper to-do lists (in addition to the task app on your phone), then you don’t have a cohesive, comprehensive system for managing your day and everything in it. None of these tools are connected, which is why workload management is such a challenge and why you’re not getting things done quickly or easily.
If the things you use for managing tasks, time and email aren’t digital, connected, communicating and running seamlessly, your efficiency, productivity and progress will suffer. And even with the right system like Outlook or Outlook for Mac, you need a methodology for your technology. Taskology is the system that can help you work more efficiently, maximize your time, accomplish more, and make the progress you really want to make.
I’m an extremely busy professional. What kind of time is necessary to learn Taskology and how long will it take before I have total control of my workday again?
Anything you’d like to change in your life—anything you’d like to be, do or have—is worth the time and effort to make it happen. More importantly, WHY do you want to make a change? This is an emotional outcome you are seeking and if change is necessary, it isn’t going to happen without you. You need to be committed and seriously connected to the WHY behind the desired change, and when that happens, the results you get will be directly proportional to the time and effort you put in.
There are several ways to learn Taskology. You can choose the Self-Study Program (PDF download or Video series) and learn at your own pace (whether fast or slow) or you can engage in individual consulting or coaching, which will accelerate the learning process.
With private, individual consulting you can learn Taskology in as little as four to six weeks with immediate results appearing on the first call. We also offer Taskology for Teams, a 12-week program for corporate teams of at least 6 participants. Contact me for details about the learning options available to you: email@example.com.
Remember, the change you seek—what you really want and WHY— is worth everything it takes to make it happen.
